ASME UHX 13.5.6 STEP 6 Dj INPUT

ASME UHX 13.5.6 STEP 6 Dj INPUT

(OP)
Dear All,

As the ASME sec.VIII Div.1 UHX 13.5.6 STEP 6,
I knew the Dj value input just like Figure UHX-13.1 skecth (a) that it is.
And I think the Dj value from expansion joint of "thick" type such as appendix 5.

My question is, if I apply the bellow type as appendix 26,
how about the Dj value to be input from bellow dimension?

How do decide the Dj value as U type bellow and toroidal type bellow from appendix 26?

RE: ASME UHX 13.5.6 STEP 6 Dj INPUT

ChiangJaron, Dj is the ID of the convolution (as defined), and can be found from the sketches in Figure 26-1-1. You just have to do the arithmetic.

Regards,

Mike

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand
