NX Sheet metal transition

I'm try to transition between these 2 box shapes and still be able to make a flat pattern. I'm able to do this using through curves, but then I can't create a flat pattern. Any ideas on how this could be done using the NX sheet metal module? FYI, I'm using NX11. Thanks

RE: NX Sheet metal transition

Do you have the advanced sheet metal license?

Have a look at the attached part.

A small caveat, this type of object cannot be flattened inside the sheet metal application at the moment so I've used the flattening/forming tool. You could also use ONe step or Metaform if you have them.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I don't have any of those options (advanced sheet metal license, one step or metaform). Is there a better way to draw it so it could be flattened?
