Maximum spacing for insulation support rings

Maximum spacing for insulation support rings

Maximum spacing for insulation support rings

(OP)
Dear all,

I have a tower, 20' dia x 250' tall, hot insulated. I would like to cut down the quantity of insulation support rings. Though we have a in-house practice, but that ends up too many support rings. What will be your maximum spacing between rings ?

(Note: stress on clip is not a concern. It is negligible)

RE: Maximum spacing for insulation support rings

We normally follow various company standards...

PIP recommends a maximum spacing of 12'-1".

If you know the insulation company that will be installing the insulation, can you ask them for advice?
