NX11 Titleblock

NX11 Titleblock

(OP)
Hello All,

Building up again the CAD environment from scratch.
Our old env. had a customized tool to add our own titleblock and frame to the drawingsheet.
We would prefer to get rid of this customization and use the O.O.T.B titleblock feature from NX11.

Looking for experiences, tips and tricks on how to use the Titleblock functionality from NX11

What is the best approach?

  • Edit the existing NX Titleblock
  • Build a new one (how?)

RE: NX11 Titleblock

Most of the title block for the borders, zones are setup in the drafting preferences.

https://vimeo.com/phoenxplm has some really good examples.

You can also search youtube on the subject

The OOTB built in title blocks are really nice, especially if you have your NX attributes, and teamcenter with attribute mapping set up.

We started from a blank drawing and built it up from there. But I think you can start with a Siemens template also.

Have fun with it.

What I like about it, when you do a drawing compare you can toggle on the zones column, and the drawing compare tool will give you the zone where the change happened.
