thread561-395552: Display data asked for shadow of unloaded entity. Same problem as closed thread that was never replied to. It seems to be a problem with PMI. Cannot get back from the model to the parent drawing. the error "Display data asked for shadow of unloaded entity" STOPS me from making the drawing the work part

RE: Display data asked for shadow of unloaded entity

The description is a bit thin to go on.
I have never seen this error.
It sounds as if something in the file requires more data to be loaded. ( not sufficient with what's loaded in the session.)
Can you make the assy fully loaded ?
Maybe you should speak to Gtac about this.

Regards,
Tomas

RE: Display data asked for shadow of unloaded entity

In context of PMI there is an existing IR9004419 for a similar problem (don't know if it is the same for you)

Quote (GTAC)

Problem Description:
Use "Convert to PMI" in the drafting application.
The user switch the "Make Work Part" on the modeling application, an error will occur.
"Display data asked for shadow of unloaded entity" error occurs.

The cause of the error is that "PMI" in "Part Navigator" is in the expanded state.
If the "PMI" is collapsed, no error occurs.

It shows no solution or workaround however.
