Irregular Concrete Slab Shape Load Distribution

Irregular Concrete Slab Shape Load Distribution

Irregular Concrete Slab Shape Load Distribution

(OP)
Hi - Could someone please verify that I am on the right path with the concrete slab load distribution shown on the attached picture?

This is for analyzing an existing concrete building and I want to make sure that I am thinking about the slab loads correctly. As you can see with my purple lines on the picture, it looks to me like two of the three are one-way slabs and the third one is kindof like a 2-way slab.

Thanks!

RE: Irregular Concrete Slab Shape Load Distribution

Unless you have supports at those locations the slab will not span that way. Span will be from the post (assuming it's a support) to the outer support in a radial fashion. It's possible to run this as a FEM model, or to see if Roarks has something. I'm not sure treating it as a 2 span using ql%^/8 is applicable. Should have added that a yield line solution would also work.
