Bus Duct
Bus Duct
(OP)
Can I get the NEC code that requires I supply splash proof Bus Duct in a Trash Area: Bus Duct is 12' above AFF.
When was the last time you drove down the highway without seeing a commercial truck hauling goods?

RE: Bus Duct
I'd be very careful with bus duct in a wet (or even a 'damp' area). I would strongly recommend that you consider cable bus. I have not spec'd bus duct in more than 30 years, it's cable-bus all the way.
BTW what are the voltage and ampacity requirements? Approximate length?
ps I am not aware of any Code that defines the enclosure rating for bus-duct in a trash area. Is this actually a wet or damp area? Is it indoors or outdoors? What has the mounting elevation of 12ft above FF have to do with the enclosure rating?

RE: Bus Duct
I do not know much about bus ducts but a co-worker some time ago passed me this catalog (attached) that he was using to select an outside bus duct system.
Maybe it can help you a little.
Good luck!
