What alloys are covered in Trumps "steel and aluminum" tariffs?
What alloys are covered in Trumps "steel and aluminum" tariffs?
(OP)
So Trump has issued a tariff proclamation for "steel and aluminum" but these are very broad, generic terms. I can't find anything in the press so far that says exactly what will be included under the tariffs. We buy a lot of specialty products like iron-cobalt, will it fall under that generic term of "steel"?

Will an inconel casting pay an import fee? The gov't doesn't do a good job making this less confusing.

It will only be a legal document until is made a requirement/law with definitions and limits that provide something enforceable.
His mode is to provide a direction/impetus for law makers to act on stir things up).
Just a way of steering the lawmakers do their part and add their "loop-holes".

Back in 2003 he became a billionaire due to buying up failing US steel manufacturers such as LTV og Bethlehem Steel and then a couple of years later selling them India steel giant Lakshmi Mittal with a profit of 2 billion US$
BTW now he is the United States Secretary of Commerce!

It is better to have enough ideas for some of them to be wrong, than to be always right by having no ideas at all.
