Polyurethane SIPs - Future of Residential Framing?

Polyurethane SIPs - Future of Residential Framing?

(OP)
I've been looking at a polyurethane SIP made by Eco Panels. The overall strength and rigidity of this type of construction is fascinating to me.

As an engineer my first thought is how do I analyze such a structure (coming from your typical shearwall stud frame construction, AWC-NDS etc...)?

This is an entirely new beast.

What are your thoughts on this type of construction? Pros vs. Cons?

If this type of construction is as good as the manufacturers claim perhaps this is the beginning of the end of stick framing...

A confused student is a good student.
