Incremental sheet forming simulation using abaqus

Incremental sheet forming simulation using abaqus

(OP)
Hello,

We try to simulate a single-point incremental sheet forming process through abaqus. We’ve faced many problems to run it. The tool path is defined in amblitude x, y and z and as we run it the tool moves correctly - in circular motion - but the impact in the sheet is not in the same point of the tool. Other thing is that the tool deforms the sheet till some time and then suddenly go through it without breaking it and complete its path in the space behind the tool!

The sheet is aluminum.

RE: Incremental sheet forming simulation using abaqus

You problem description and image are not good, so it's impossible to give an advice.
