I need 13 "live" professional development hours to maintain my PE license for Wisconsin. This means I can take an online class as long as it is live, allowing for questions from the students. Does anyone have suggestions for relatively inexpensive PDHs?

Try suppliers for systems in your industry. I've gotten a few good PDHs from Hilti regarding their anchorage systems. Was live with a Q&A session and is free.

There's two components for inexpensive pdhs. One is the seminar fee and travel. But much more important is the hours you need to charge. If you need "live" pdhs and they only occur on Tuesdays, you're either going to need to take time off or bill the hours to education or a project. These hours will greatly exceed any seminar fee.
Our company is somewhat large and sophisticated and we get a budget for training every year, subject to approval. They'd sure appreciate you not using it, but it's there. But I understand that if you're self employed or working for s small place, this might not be available.
It's very tough to keep up, and if the states have live requirements, it becomes a real burden.

Got some good advice. If you have STAAD, they have a lot of live webinars as well.

I've attended several webinars and found them less beneficial than live conferences. In a live setting, the ability to discuss the content with other attendees as well as the presenter (after the presentation) seems to fill in the blanks that I'm often left with after webinars.
Moreover, I've found that developing relationships with likeminded professionals at the conferences helpful. is I've attached the CMAA flyer if anyone is interested
Best regards
