NX11 Drawing and points

NX11 Drawing and points

NX11 Drawing and points

How do you get points to show up on the drawing when they are in the drawing file, not the linked part.
If I move them to the part, they show up. Unfortunately, the part is locked in our PLM.

Any ideas?

RE: NX11 Drawing and points

When you add a base view on your drawing, make sure the drawing file is selected and not the model file. In recent versions of NX, the model file is selected for you by default and you need to manually change it to the drawing if that is what you want to use.

Thank you! I have had this problem since NX9 and thought I have tried everything.

RE: NX11 Drawing and points

Wish they'd allow the user to redefine which part is used in the drawing....can cause quite a bit of lost time if that little "gem" isn't expanded and a less than experienced user is pounding out drawings for weeks with the wrong part selected. Great idea, poorly executed IMO.
