Wind Loads for Building Code in Chile

Wind Loads for Building Code in Chile

Wind Loads for Building Code in Chile

(OP)
Does anyone have an English translation of the wind load portion of the Chilean Building Code? It is called, Chilean Standard NCh 432 "Calculo de la accion del viento sobre las construcciones". I can find a Spanish translation, but not english

RE: Wind Loads for Building Code in Chile

Spanish wouldn't be a translation, it would be the original language of the document. I've done some work in Chile but never seen any of their standards in english.

RE: Wind Loads for Building Code in Chile

Given the seismicity of the region I'd be surprised if wind was the governing lateral load in very many cases but I suppose that would be project dependent.
