Yellow traingle alert symbol on Through curve mesh

Yellow traingle alert symbol on Through curve mesh

Yellow traingle alert symbol on Through curve mesh

(OP)
Hi ,

I am getting an alert on a through curve mesh feature when i try to give G1(tangent) continuity for the surface with the adjacent surfaces.
Can anyone give me a solution for removing this alert symbol from part navigator and also the reason why I am getting this error message?
I am working in NX 8.5 and I have attached the image of the warning.

Thanks in Advance..

RE: Yellow traingle alert symbol on Through curve mesh

The yellow triangle is a warning sign that "something" has happened, which might need attention.
For example, if you create a trough curve mesh and one of the defining curves becomes deleted, you will get a triangle since the shape might have changed.
in this case, it is a warning that your curves doesn't meet the requirements for the G1 condition that you try to apply.
"Primary curve 5" is probably not tangent to the face you try to apply G1 to. ( it must be G1 or better.)

Hi,
Can the alert be removed in higher version of NX?

RMB in the part navigator and you can clear the alerts by selecting 'Clear Information Alerts'

it should disappear if you fix the issue, but sometimes i think you need to "bump" NX to "understand" that it is fixed. ( Force NX to do a update of the feature)
i.e Edit the feature, remove a curve, OK out. Edit the same feature, add the same curve, OK Out.

RE: Yellow traingle alert symbol on Through curve mesh

Please be aware that the 'Yellow' symbol is to provide the user with INFORMATION about something. It does NOT mean that there is something that needs to be FIXED. Granted, it might not be what you expected, but it's something the NX can live with. If you can live with it as well, then just ignore it and these notices will eventually go away.

RE: Yellow traingle alert symbol on Through curve mesh

While all of the above may be true and can remove the "information" it would be wise to assess whether or not that information is important to what you're modeling. If you're trying to create Class A surfaces or trying to make practically seamless transitions for whatever reason, you'd better investigate what all that information is and how to improve/correct/fix about whatever it is you're being informed....if not, then by all means ignore my rambling and proceed along with clearing the feature info alert.
