Overhang loads for monoslope roofs C&C ASCE 7-10

Overhang loads for monoslope roofs C&C ASCE 7-10

Overhang loads for monoslope roofs C&C ASCE 7-10

(OP)
Hi all, I have a question on how to calculate the components and cladding wind loads for a overhang on a monoslope roof? ASCE 7-10 has CGp values for overhangs for gable roofs on Figures 30.4-2BA through 30.4-2C but does not have figures for any other types of roofs. Can anyone give me any input as to how calculate these wind loads?

RE: Overhang loads for monoslope roofs C&C ASCE 7-10

I have the same question. I plan to use the gable roof loads corresponding to the roof slope I have, and then will increase loads by the ratio of the main roof monoslope wind loads to the main roof gable wind loads.

See Table 30.7-1 or 30.10-1

RPMG, would this apply if you're calculating based on Part 1 (30.4-1)? I normally use Part 1 to find the wind pressures for the walls and roof, but I can't seem to find any clear instruction on finding overhang pressures within Part 1. I know 30.7-1 has a table for monoslope/flat but Part 1 doesn't. Can I find roof/wall with Part 1 instruction and THEN use 30.7-1 as well?
