Hello all,

Would you please tell me if you know Is Limiter manufacturers other than ABB Calor EMAG,
for current limiters 11000 V, 3000 A, 50 HZ

Best regards,
Kevin.

RE: Hello all, Would you please tell

Hi Kevin,
I haven't seen any competition to the ABB IS Limiter. In doing some Google searching I found this Schneider Electric paper detailing a similar approach, however I couldn't find any additional information on their product.

RE: Hello all, Would you please tell

G&W Electric. Current Limiting Protector "CLiP" explosive actuated fuse.

RE: Hello all, Would you please tell

The G&W CLiP fuse is a low voltage (i.e., 600 V) fuse not 11 kV. At least that is what we used on some of our secondary network systems.

RE: Hello all, Would you please tell

Please disregard my earlier response. We were using the CLiP fuses on 13.2 kV circuits that fed secondary networks (208 and 480 volt). My apologies.

RE: Hello all, Would you please tell

There is one North American (may be Canada) company.
