Patran 2017 failed to run an old database Patran 2017 failed to run an old database Boyang (Mechanical) (OP) 2 Jan 18 20:42 I am new to Patran. My Patran 2017 failed to open an old database file. The .db file seems to be 32-bit. What's the best way to run it? Thanks a lot RE: Patran 2017 failed to run an old database klaus. (Structural) 3 Jan 18 15:11 well I do not know Patran but it often happens that older files cannot be opened by newer versions of the program Sometimes there are 'import' options for older files... You might want to read the program manual and/or read on their homepage RE: Patran 2017 failed to run an old database IRstuff (Aerospace) 3 Jan 18 16:22 Might get better answers in the actual Patran forum: forum824: MSC.Software: Patran TTFN (ta ta for now) I can do absolutely anything. However, depending on the error message when the file is loaded, if the file is very old and in binary format, I suspect that such file is obsolete and cannot be read anymore. You could verify this with Patran's support team. https://welsim.com RE: Patran 2017 failed to run an old database cohoman (Aerospace) 6 Jan 18 00:14 What is the error message when you try to open the old Patran database file?
