Wood Shear Wall Stud Selection

(OP)
Hi,

How can I make sure that if I should 2x4 or 2x6 and the spacing between the studs for the shear wall ?
I could not find it in NDS.

Thank you,

RE: Wood Shear Wall Stud Selection

It is likely not in the NDS, rather in an APA publication. The intermediate studs do nothing for the shearwall except for out-of-plane bracing of the sheathing and acting as a shear transfer element at the joints. (in addition to resisting other building loads).
I think you can go 24" O.C. without issues as long as they work for your other loads.
