Anchorage design of anchor rods based on ACI318-14 using software

(OP)
I was wondering if anyone has used the software program by SK Gosh for anchors into cracked concrete. I am currently using the free software provided by Simpson Strong Tie but was considering buying the program from SK Gosh in hopes that it might be more exacting and less conservative - if that's even true. I'm having a hard time getting the anchors to work and was wondering if a different program might not be the answer.

RE: Anchorage design of anchor rods based on ACI318-14 using software

A number of free programs exist; Hilti, Simspon, Dewalt (PDA). I have yet to find a condition where one program gives a different answer for anchor bolts in cracked concrete. I highly doubt a program change will make things work for you. You could also do a hand calc. to show it working or not.

Ram Connection checks anchor break out and pullout including ACI 318-08 Appendix D checks. Nothing changed in '14 as far as I know. I could run your example or you could try it free.
