hi i have rotor ground fault motor was tripped on overexcitation found thyristor gate signal block defective when received and spares tested rotor found it was grounded and the motor was having EF detector and vabration and temperature were normal before it fails. is there is possibility that moisture cause rotor ground fault?

Which is the type of electric motor and nominal voltage on the rotor . How many ohms you measured to the ground .
