Need CAP 2/316 Software

Need CAP 2/316 Software

(OP)
Hi,
I need CAP 2/316 software. I tried to search on web but was unsuccessful. Anyone inform me where i can find this old software.

Thanks

RE: Need CAP 2/316 Software

ABB's relays group should be able to locate this software. You will need to work out whether it is a Swedish product or a Swiss product to know which bit of ABB you need to talk to. I think the CAP series of software is of Swedish origin, so it's probably the Vasteras office you need to speak to.

RE: Need CAP 2/316 Software

you need to contact ABB Baden as they are the product owners. YOu can write to substation.automation@ch.abb.com

Order code of CAP316 CD: 1MRB260030M0001

Thanks,
Vijay

RE: Need CAP 2/316 Software

I have been through this process many times in the past. Trying to search out configuration SW for a relay or meter. Getting to a job site and realizing the client doesn't have the SW. Finding someone at the vendor that has a copy and can send along. Meter vendors can be especially difficult.

It just makes me realize how smart SEL was 30 years ago to have devices that can communicate via terminal emulation, OR you can use their FREE configuration SW, easily downloaded from the website. I don't work for SEL, just use their products all of the time.
