current to be injected for testing field failure relay

(OP)
Hello Engineers,

I have a task to test a woodward make MRQ1 field failure relay.
I have the settings already defined based on generator Xd data.
For testing, I understand I need change the vary the current, phase angle to find out the trip time, trip region.
As per my calculation, I found the X value as the MHO circle falls on -90 deg X line. So I assume Z=X as R will be zero for COS(-90). (R=Zcos (ang), X=Z sin(ang)

If I use Omicron, I can create a MHO element and make automated test. But I would like to inject currents on my own and check the relay trip time.

My question is, how do I find out the current to be injected based on Z value.

Thanks,
Vijay
