(OP)
So I just discovered Onshape while looking for a parametric, constraint based 3d modeling programming. Not sure if you saw my other post in the "Engineers with hobbies" group but I am interested in modeling a gear train which I'd like to eventually make out of wood. I was looking for a free tool that would allow me to model the assembly and then move the driving gear to see all of the other gears move. I am of the understanding that I can do that with Onshape. (I have not tried modeling the parts yet.)

Any advice?
