Ribbon Bar extensions
Ribbon Bar extensions
(OP)
Hi guys.
I am looking for the correct way of working to add additional buttons , galleries etc to an Excisting out of the box ribbon tab.
I know of course that with customize I can simply add this. But I want to edit the existing RTB such that the addtions are visible for ALL users and also be there with the next version of NX we will roll out.
I know there is the possibility to extend the menu files but if I'm correct this only goes for the Pull down menu. Is there something similar for the RTB files?

RE: Ribbon Bar extensions
The simplest way to add a "Company" tab to the Ribbon Bar, is define this variable ... UGII_SITE_DIR, pointing it to a folder ... (i.e.) U:\NX12\DesignStudio
You then create an "...\Applications\Profile"s folder and create your RTB, GRB and GLY files there.

RE: Ribbon Bar extensions
This I know thanks! I would like to add additional galleries to an existing ribbon tab. (2D Layout tab) instead of creating a new additional one.
The galleries will only be used when in 2D layout.
