(OP)
Hello everyone,

So, I am modelling a simple wall, transient thermal analysis using Fluent. As a boundary condition on the interior side, i am imposing a temperature fluctuation and a film coefficient. As a boundary condition on the exterior side, I am imposing a fixed temperature and a film coefficient. The rest of the surfaces are adiabatic.

I then create a point on the interior side and on the exterior side. In each point, I want to monitor the temperature and thermal flux. For the temperatures all nice and correct, including the variation on the exterior side. But the problem is the flux. When I monitor the flux on the exterior side is way superior when comparing with my experimental setup.

I am doing as follows: Create a point on the exterior side - Report Definitions - New - Surface Report - Vertex Average - Wall Fluxes - Total Surface Heat Flux.

Is this the correct way to monitor the flux at a point? or choosing this will lead to superior heat flux values?

Thank you very much in advance
