rubber mesh tipology

(OP)
Dear all,

i have a contact problem and i wnat simulate a rubber block.

I used stress strain family mesh and linear element quad-dominated.

i'am in abaqus \standard simulation.

for the rubber this type of mesh is correct?

What type of element i can use?

RE: rubber mesh tipology

You mean hex-dominated when meshing a rubber block, right?

You can use any element, but usually you have to activate the hybrid formulation (with an H in the name). So for example C3D8RH.
