Dimension errors

Dimension errors

Dimension errors

(OP)
Every once and awhile when I am using AutoCad 2000 and I am in paperspace when I am trying to pull a dimension or do a leader and I zoom out I get and error and I have to exit out of AutoCad. Is there anyway of fixing this????

RE: Dimension errors

I have read that errors such as this may be caused by an incompatible with the video card. Since this in some way has some thing to do with the image on the monitor.

I have had A2K lock up on me when I save a drawing, when I pan and other reasons.

I have not found any reason per say why A2K locks up, it just does.

RE: Dimension errors

cparnell- your video-card compatibility clue is a good one. Eric84- I've also had to trace my ram for a bad chip, and another  system just needed enough ram. This last is also a real issue when the video card shares RAM with the main processor, and when video is embedded on the motherboard (also sharing Video RAM with the main processor). These are all things to check out. Fortunately RAM & video card issues are relatively easy to fix, and usually fairly inexpensive, too.
Good Luck,
cfee
