HV and LV distribution networks for healthcare facilities

HV and LV distribution networks for healthcare facilities

(OP)
hello,

I am trying to learn about HV and LV distribution networks for healthcare facilities ( hospitals etc) from british standards point of view . Does anyone have any good guides or materials please ? I have a cope of the HTM.

RE: HV and LV distribution networks for healthcare facilities

Not sure if this will help, but I did get this in my recommendations a few months back:

Article 517 in the NEC is a good place to start on the emergency side of the power system. Remember your 3 backup protected branches when dealing with these systems. Life Safety, Critical and the Equipment branch.

Where in the world are you? this may make a difference!

Thanks ScottyUK, that's where I was headed

The remainder of the Health Technical Memoranda can be found by going to

https://www.gov.uk/

and searching for 'Health Technical Memorandum'

Caution! We are in the 'United Kingdom', Scotland and Northern Ireland have separate health systems and standards... (in theory.

RE: HV and LV distribution networks for healthcare facilities

See IEEE Std 602-2007 (Revision of IEEE Std 602-1996) - IEEE Recommended Practice for Electric Systems in Health Care Facilities, http://standards.ieee.org/findstds/standard/602-20... for US standards. I don't know of any British equivalents.
