Simulating Additive Manufacturing

Simulating Additive Manufacturing

(OP)
Hi all,

I've been trying to explore the software that is capable in simulating additive manufacturing(AM), on the micro and macro scale. So far I haven't been able to find much information on what is possible within ABAQUS. There are several webinars and e-learning sources available that state the benefits of simulating AM, however I have not been able to find any information on how to use ABAQUS for AM or any ABAQUS AM examples.

The only example i have found has been this post: https://cdmhub.org/resources/1437, which I have not been able to use to produce any useful results.

If anyone is able to advise me on ABAQUS' AM capabilities or potential resources, tutorials or examples relating to AM it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What's the intent of your exploration?

When there is an commercial background, then you should ask your Abaqus reseller or DS Simulia for information.
