Dear All,

Greeting

I want to ask about preservation for new static equipment like columns, drums and heat exchangers. now we are in project and the equipment received at site. Internal installation started form 6 months for columns.

1- Is it required now to purging Nitrogen and/or VPCI bags ?? Because contractor keep all nozzles for column open as they are installing internal parts like trays, weir mesh...

2- Is it applicable for all pressure vessels either stainless steel or carbon steel ??

3- Is there any time limit for working inside and internal installation activities ??

Thanks All,

RE: Dear All, Greeting I want to

How much corrosion can you live with? I assume you will do flushing before putting the equipment in service. Depending on the local environment, you may have to accommodate for additional cleaning/flushing in your commissioning plan.
