design method official name?

design method official name?

design method official name?

(OP)
I can not find if there is some official name for method that I call "master sketch". When you make part with sketches that are fully parametrical and then you drive whole design, size of parts, positions etc. with these sketches. I need to document this method for project so I want to know if there is name for it that is already used in NX community.

RE: design method official name?

I would do a CTL "E" and a dialog will pop up start naming your Expressions that are in the Sketch. I would then Have that part as your Master and make a Part Family Library.

RE: design method official name?

I believe that is called "Skeleton Design" (process) or "Design Skeleton" (structure)
