Cant edit part in assembly context

Cant edit part in assembly context

(OP)
Hello everyone,

having annoying problem, can't edit parts in an assembly context.
When clicking RMB on any part feature (while editing part in assembly context) got this:

instead of this:

I have this problem with only one assembly, with others it works fine.
Any ideas?

RE: Cant edit part in assembly context

Two suggestions:
  1. Make sure you are in the modeling application. If you are in something else (such as gateway), you won't be able to edit some features.
  2. Make sure the units of the component match the units of the assembly file. You won't be able to edit a component in the context of the assembly if the units don't match.

How to check out if im in gateway or something else?
Units of parts are the same as in the assembly - Milimeters (File > Properties > Displayed Part).

RE: Cant edit part in assembly context

It should say at the top of the NX window, what application you are in. When in doubt, go to Application, Modeling.
