NX10 MASTER MODEL surfaced
NX10 MASTER MODEL surfaced
(OP)
People,
I have generated a Prismatic style Model that is our Master Model ( technically it meets all my requirements with NO FILLETS)
I have now presented this part to Manufacturing who will then use Surface Milling techniques to create the part, literally let NX Manufacturing do its work.
my question is : is there a way of capturing the programmed Manufacturing Model output (with all it step overs and complex intersections and organic surfaces) in a way that can be introduced back to my NX Master technical model such that I can have true representation of what is being made. Some Solid Format
the Laser Scanning we use will then have a True MASTER Model to compare back to.
NX10.0.3.5
thanks in advance for your help - if the answer is 'no chance' then I will stop looking for now
regards ... gary

RE: NX10 MASTER MODEL surfaced
1) create model
2) cut into realpiece, any faults in manufacturing added to resulting model
3) scan to Cad system
4) compare to which of the 2 models .... ?
The faceted IPW can either be surfaced manually in NX, ( not a simple task , as good surfaces as the operator skills.)
surfaced automatically in, say, Geomagic ( not that nice surfaces or how the surfaces are placed, but complete surface model in few clicks.)
Or, in NX12, you can use the facets as is.
