Has anyone run across these before? I would love to not have to determine their strength by hand.

They are some sort of light gage purlins whose top flanges tie into the subsequent member. I have attached a few photos.

RE: Strange Light Gage Roof Purlins

Looks like roof deck, not purlins.

I had a recent existing building that I worked on from the 70's that had Robertson 7-1/2" deep 18 gage roof deck that looked just like this. It spanned 20' or so.

I was not sure what to call it. Thank you for the lead! Apparently I should have been looking for long span decking. Much appreciated.
In the first photo you can see some sort of light gage decking on top of it so I was hesitant to call it a deck.

RE: Strange Light Gage Roof Purlins

Epic and others make some deep roof deck. www.epicmetals.com

I put an old Robertson catalogue in SlideRuleEra's website. If it isn't one of their products, they probably have a similar one as a go by.

Thanks Jed. I will most definitely look to use that. Looking back at my old notes we found that deck shown with 7" web which doesn't exactly match up, but it is possible that we measured incorrectly. It looks almost identical to the Robertson products. Hopefully when I go back out on site I everything will match up perfectly or at least, like you said, I can use it as a go by.
