cantilevered deck, steel framed, load design requirements

(OP)
Hello I need some help. I need to build a deck for a home,I am going to build, the deck will be cantilevered, 8ft. off the ground, 12 ft by 12 ft.It will be used for people, some outdoor tables and chairs. I was looking at C12 steel channel to use with treated 2 by 12 lumber. To use for the framing. The house floor plan gives me up to 14 ft. under the house to use for attaching the c channel to structure of home. Can anybody give me some helpful information on the strength requirements, proper size of steel, and any design ideas? If no help, would I need to talk to a structural engineer? Or an architect?

RE: cantilevered deck, steel framed, load design requirements

you should talk to a structural engineer.
