I have a Two bay portal frame should I consider these 2 cases :
the live load at each bay alone or only the live load on the total roof? and where I can find the reference for the answer of this question? ( code )same question for wind

Since If you check the typical two span portal frames, the middle column is to small with respect to the edge columns. Apparently they are considering only the case where the load is on the total roof. But why? is this part of code?
