Good days Friends
I am studying the cohesive element in an assembly model.
I did a simple model to investigate a bazar results I got with my model but it's still problems there without a clue or explanation where I fall.

the model (small size for fast check and run)
3 components of different materials, the cohesive elements modelled one material and it was bonding the other two
3 different material (metal, cohesive, composite) defined by 3D hex linear element and one cohesive element
the cohesive element modelled traction separation law, (elasticity, damage, evolution)
the metal non-linear material, the composite linear
in this model, a load applied to be high (plasticity in metal. the metal attached (strengthened) on one side by the composite material
the result showed that the stresses at the free surface of the metal ( without the composite) still comparable to the results of the model of the metal itself only, in another word the stress form the metal is not shared enough with other components. This is totally different from the test results where we can see the big differences of the stresses before and after strengthening the metal.
