Also dependable on what company in which part of the world you are planning to work with in the future, and what equipment / maintenance area you are planning to work on.

Many employers are offering and paying for certification and upgrading of their employees skills. All international petroleum related companies are all the time also upgrading their level of use of electronic tools for operating and reporting.
