Does NEC/Saudi Aramco permits the passing of both the power and control/Instrumentation cables through the same MCT?

RE: Multi cable transit (MCT) system

Not sure, but why would anyone want to do something so counter productive anyway?

RE: Multi cable transit (MCT) system

It's permissible in maritime applications and per the NEC, but with Saudi Aramco, who knows?

RE: Multi cable transit (MCT) system

The MCT system it is a kind of fire stop using plugs of chloroprene [neoprene] fitted on a cable diameter and introduced in a metallic frame. Usually it is mounted on a wall opening where a channel continues from a side to another of the wall. The cable could be supported by a cable tray or running directly on the channel floor.
NEC permits cable of 1000 V or less to occupy the same cable raceway if the insulation is the same.[see art.300.3] So control cable could occupy the same raceway with power cables[usually]. Instrument cable only as permitted on 725 and 727 articles. See-for instance:
