Reyrolle TJM10 Relays
Reyrolle TJM10 Relays
(OP)
Hi All,
I have a project where the existing transformer protection relays are old Reyrolle TJM10 induction disc relays.
My issue, is i have no idea how these work, and how to go about finding the existing settings and then changing them to something new.
Does anyone have any documentation for this relay type, or could you describe it.
See attached for a photo... I think that the O/C is set to a Plug Setting of 2 (from the red sticker) and a Time Setting of 0.2 (Position switch at the bottom) and the E/F relay is set at Plug setting of 2 and Time Setting of 0.75.
I guess like the old CDG relays they are a fixed curve of SI (or whatever)?
Thanks
Steve

RE: Reyrolle TJM10 Relays
The overcurrent relay is set at PSM 75% TM 0.1s
The earth fault relay is set at PSM 20% TM 0.1s
The plug bridge is at the top of the relay. The time multiplier dial is rotated to the setting required.
The curve is standard inverse. For a current of 10x PSM setting, the relay operates in 3s, which is the typical SI characteristic. This is shown on the white label on the relay.
These relays are still manufactured under licence in India. I did a quick google search and found the original relay manual on scribd.
