High chromium cast iron (pouring temperature)

(OP)
So I want to cast high chromium cast iron product and containing 2.5% C , 27%Cr
I am worried about pouring temperature. As I know the pouring temperature should be 1300°C
Is it true or not ?
And another question ! Does Difference of pouring temperature affect to hardness of casting ?
many thanks for your favor

You have a very open question. Pouring temperature depends on shape of the casting, weight range, minimum and maximum section thickness etc.
Generally I would recommend 1350-1380C and not above 1400C.

RE: High chromium cast iron (pouring temperature)

We used to use one temp for a simple cylinder, and a different (higher) temp for a complex shape.
A simple part would be 2450-2500F, while the complex one required 2485-2535F.
The complex one also required very weak cores.
