Protection System Management

(OP)
I'm trying to establish a suitable workable database for all of our network and genetor protection equipment (including settings, ser. No's, type of relays etc) and am at a loss. Do I start designing a new Access db. or an SQL db. ? I do not want to re-invent the wheel. I have access to Amtech Protect HV and PSS/E but these do not offer this maintenance package facility. From time to time as network development continues I need to review/update settings and kit etc. Has anyone any bright pointers for me. Any help welcomed.....

RE: Protection System Management

We use a database called ASPEN. You can check out the following link, http://www.aspeninc.com
