How to get the total contact pressure of a specified surface with Abaqus/Viewer ?

How to get the total contact pressure of a specified surface with Abaqus/Viewer ?

(OP)
Hey all,

I have the result file (odb) of a complex model. Using Abaqus/Viewer i would like to extract the total contact pressure (CPRESS) for a surface of my choice.

More precisely, i'm interested in getting the contact pressure applied on a specific face of one of the part of the model.
I'm supposed that i have to extract the data of each node of the surface (CPRESS is calculated for each element nodes) and then find a way to integrate these data over the surface which I'm interested in.
I already did some research but i didn't find a elegant way to get this result with Abaqus/Viewer. I hope find some help here.

Thanks

RE: How to get the total contact pressure of a specified surface with Abaqus/Viewer ?

Plot just the surface of interest in viewer. Then go to report -> field output. Select the contact output you want and you can write the results at each node to a text file with max, mins and sum values included.
