RE: BOM on CATIA V5R7
you executes CATIA on UNIX or Windows?
If it is on Windows, it is necessary that Excel is installed.
The bypass is to safeguard in "txt" and to transfer the file on a station which has Excel.
Good luck !

RE: BOM on CATIA V5R7
thank You for Your answer.
I am using CATIA V5R7 on WIN2000 Pro, and have installed EXCEL by OFFICE XP.
I would like to export my BOM directly on excel.
Bye.
Sergio.
RE: BOM on CATIA V5R7
When you say V5R7 on WindowPro2000 and EXCEL on WindowsXP,
is what that means on the same machine?
You must install EXCEL on the same machine as CATIA Because CATIA seek the DLLs of EXCEL.

RE: BOM on CATIA V5R7
All that software is installed on the same machine...
that's why I think that CATIA V5R7 doesn't recognize ExcelXP...
Is there any way to "force" CATIA to look for Excel?
Salut,
Sergio.
RE: BOM on CATIA V5R7
I hope everything is fine.
I hope you can help me too.
I have a problem with BOM.
When I use elements from catalog I can't see it's attributes.
I don't know if you know CATIA V4, but it has AEC/ATS (aerospace tooling structure).
On ATS you build a catalog (just like V5) and generate a BOM
with all the attributes you put within the catalog (called equip on ATS), I mean, on ATS you can customize the BOM, you choose what attribute you want to see.
But on V5 I can't do that. I create a catalog with some attributes but I can't put it in a BOM.
My question is: There's a way to customize the BOM?
Can I put the catalog's attributes in a BOM?
Thanks!
Regards.
