AutoPIPE V11.1 vs. V10

AutoPIPE V11.1 vs. V10

(OP)
All,

I'm just looking for some optimism. We recently upgraded to V11.1 of AutoPIPE at our company, and they have completely changed the interface/menus. It takes me forever to find anything, and you have to toggle around various menus to find commands rather than the old version with the buttons all along the top and sides. Nobody at our company has been able to get used to it yet, having learned on the old version. Lines that used to take an hour or two to analyze are taking twice as long. It was so bad that on the current project, with current deadlines, we had to re-install the old version to get the lines done in time.

Basically my question is, has anyone here made the transition from V10 and previous versions to V11.1? How long did it take before you were as comfortable with the interface again? It's quite frustrating to be this unproductive right now...

RE: AutoPIPE V11.1 vs. V10

Yes, Im using both versions aside. The newer version has a few advantages, e.g. incorporation of the B31J 2017 standard for SIFs, inclusion of the EN 13445 method for flange anaylsis (which is based on EN 1591), and some other enhancements. Other than that I hate dislike the new UI. So Im working with the old version as long as I can so I have sufficient time to get acquinted with the new version just by playing with it, rather than learning on the job. I dont want to find myself in a situation as yours ...

I have been adding the functions used most often to the tool bars which make most things one click away.
