Steam-tracer steam consumption

Steam-tracer steam consumption

Steam-tracer steam consumption

(OP)
Hello,

Just to check, cause I've never calculated it before.

Is 4 kg/h of steam a reasonable flow for a 100m 2" pipeline at 70°C?

Well, I appreciate your help quark.

I used Spirax Sarco tables. So let me give you more details:

3.5 barg steam
2" process pipeline at 70°C, L=100meters
ambient temperature at 0°C

output: steam flow of about 4 kg/h

RE: Steam-tracer steam consumption

Those were precisely my assumptions. Use formula in page 23 to check condensate rate and that will be your steam input.
