Defining an individual datum and pattern datum at same time
Defining an individual datum and pattern datum at same time
(OP)
Howdy!
Let's say I have a bulkhead the has 5 holes thru it and each hole has identical features controlled relative to it (5X INDIVIDUAL [DATUM]). Now it seems I need to control some outer features of the profile to the pattern of those 5 holes. How would I go about establishing a pattern datum when I've already specified that those holes are individual datums?
TIA!

Anyone see any issues with this?

One would say "5 X HOLE-SO-AND-SO DATUM X"
Second "datum Y 5 X INDIVIDUALLY" attached to different hole (out of 5, maybe even different view, like section)
I butchered the picture from Genium to illustrate: http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=4...
