When calculating A2; (area avaliable in the nozzle)
corroded conditions are not being considered by ASME
consequently RF-Pad size decreases. In other others
the corrosion allowance (at the start) is considered towards the reduction of the RF-Pad dimensions.
Please advise & provide insights

Fig. UG-37.1 might help you in understanding the definitions of tn and trn. The measurements start where the corrosion allowance ends. That would be the dashed line on the inside with the "c" dimension on the inside left hand side. The corrosion allowance is shown for the shell, inside projection of the nozzle, and outside projection of the nozzle.
