Hello Expert,
Following are the situation,
Material, SA 312 Typ 304 L (Carbon content is >= 0.03 %)
Joining process :- Welding by GTAW process
Service Temprature -90 Degree (MAximum)
Pressure - 7kg/cm2 (maximum)
Service fluid :- Water,
Is IGC Test ( ASTM 262) is required to be carried out ?
As per my understanding, it is not required.
You please give your advice

RE: Is IGC test is required for SA 312 Typ 304 L material
As per the ASTM standard, A262 is usually performed on A312 (TP304L) stainless steel pipe, but it is not required per default by spec.
And do you have a max. temperature of -90 °C? Dont you have frozen water? What is the minimum service temperature?

My service temperature is 70 degree c (positive )
