U-TUBE BUNDLE HEAT EXCHANGER FOR HEATING WATER IN TANK

U-TUBE BUNDLE HEAT EXCHANGER FOR HEATING WATER IN TANK

U-TUBE BUNDLE HEAT EXCHANGER FOR HEATING WATER IN TANK

(OP)
Hello heat transfer gurus

i need to calculate the surface area of the
U tube bundle heat exchanger to heat the water
inside a water tank .

the U tube bundle is a removable type,
you install it by sliding the U tube
bundle into the side of the water tank
and bolting it on.

hot water enters the U tube bundle heat exhanger
and exits at a lower temperature.
the tank water is heated up by the heat transfer
from the hot water in the U tube heat exchanger.

1. any online calculators or excel calculators
which can do this.

2. anyone done something similar.

thanks...

2*pi*r*l for each tube straight run.

((ro^2 - ri^2)*pi^2)/2 for each u tube section (this assumes the bend radius is uniform).
